long time friends Tom & Gail Joyce.
In 2004 God called The Crist Family into
full-time ministry. They sold their
homes and quit their secular jobs to embark on the greatest adventure of
their lives. They moved across the
country from INFANT BAPTISM Sydney Margaret Pendergast, daughter of Carolyn and

POND GAP BLOCK PARTY MEETING Next Sunday, May 7, at sanctuary, there will be a
meeting for all those who have volunteered to
work in the Pond Gap Block Party. This meeting is necessary for making assignments
and having clear direction in what
we will be doing
at the May 12th Block Party.
UMW GENERAL MEETING. May
8 UMW General Meeting – “What IS this Summer Thing?” I know we have all seen the sign up sheets
and heard mention of the summer camps being held here at our church this
summer. But, exactly what is it? Where did the money come
from? Why are we doing this? What is my role? How can I
help? |
FROM THE PASTOR Greenway Official
Opening! The City of The greenway teams and the
city reps. have been bragging about how supportive we have been and how easy
we have been to work with on this project.
(We are providing the refreshments for this event.) We want to be the “go to” place full of
interested and involved people in the city.
There are many methods of outreach for a local church. I believe that missions
is a foundation stone. I also
believe that being a congregation that is involved deeply in the community,
area, and larger city/county gives us a positive place before the
people. Finally comes
prayer and actual invitation! I believe that there are
many people that God wants us to touch in the name of Jesus Christ. I also believe there are many people who
want to be part of a faith community that is Christ-centered and invests
itself in serving all of God’s children. In
Christ, TLS We
welcome as our newest family, the Adam Family - Jerry, Beth, Caroline, Lauren
and Justin. Jerry and Beth united with
our church membership on Sunday, March 5th, and come to us by
transfer from Christ UMC in RECOGNITION OF GRADUATES We are recognizing the
achievement of graduation for all of our High School Seniors. On Sunday May 7th,
they will be recognized before the congregation during the 9 o’clock
service. We celebrate a great
accomplishment with them and offer our support and prayers for the new
challenges in their lives. Name School Kristin Lusby Jessica Counts Nate Noll Brad Houser Carty McSween Ramsey Cohen Chance Cox James Hauge Thomas Sherbakoff |
